The Hundred School is a Reggio Emilia inspired school. We empower our children to be the protagonists of their learning journey. The construction of knowledge is an active and ongoing process.

Reggio Emilia

Reggio Emilia is a constructivist educational philosophy: "This approach fosters children's intellectual development through a systematic focus on symbolic representation. Young children are encouraged to explore their environment and express themselves through all of their available expressive, communicative, and cognitive languages. Education is seen as a communal activity and sharing of culture".

We believe education is made out

of four important elements:

  • The child.

Children are strong, intelligent and extremely capable. They are theory-builders and social beings, influenced by and influencing others around them.

  • The educator.

Teachers are co-learners, partners, mentors and facilitators. They are responsible for listening and observing the children, and orchestrating the elements that support and inspire children's learning.

  • The environment.

The school is a living organism and its space changes according to its communities' necessities. It's inspiring, beautiful, and it reflects the learning that happens there.

  • The community.

We are part of a dynamic society, and we understand our responsibility as members of our community. Diversity is acknowledged, welcomed and celebrated. We aim to create the most empowering, equitable and accessible space for our community. Our doors are open.
